From the police blotter in Jefferson County, Colorado:
Suspect yells "hot dog," throws one. On December 26 an employee of Subway … told Jefferson County sheriff's deputies that he was in the store when a man came in and yelled what he thought was, "Hot dog!" The suspect then threw what appeared to be a hot dog at the victim. The victim said he told police just in case it happened someplace else.
It's not clear why the victim could not confirm whether the missile was in fact a hot dog, and maybe it is better not to know.
So far there is no evidence that we are dealing with a serial dog-flinger, but you can't be too careful. Remember that it is possible for this to cause serious injury.
