Wired magazine reports that a 46-year-old TSA data analyst has been sentenced to two years in prison for loading "logic bomb" software on the system at the TSA’s Colorado Springs Operations Center. The CSOC system is responsible for screening TSA workers who have “access to sensitive information” – although it apparently did not screen out this guy – and for identifying passengers who have a warrant out for their arrest. Authorities said the analyst had planted the malware in retaliation for being terminated. The "bomb" was set to go off at some time in the future, and the analyst was caught only because he was seen entering the facility after hours. 

In a swift response to the logic-bomb attack, the Department of Homeland Security said that logic would no longer be allowed at any TSA facility or checkpoint.
